We visited this site in May of 2023 as part of a two day visit to the Washington DC area. The house is located on the grounds of Arlington National Cemetery, in order to enter the grounds you must go through a TSA type screening. This was the Lee’s home until just before the Civil War when they fled to Richmond. The building looks like it is made of marble but is really painted to look like marble.
